Liam Carr has received a $38,417 grant award from the Virgin Islands Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (VI-EPSCoR). His research will employ multi-disciplinary techniques in ecology, economics, and ethnography to characterize seasonal variability in fishing pressure while comparing local concerns against regionally-mandated fishery regulations. His work is co-sponsored by the Center for Marine and Environmental Studies at the University of the Virgin Islands.
Pablo Granados-Dieseldorff recently co-authored with Dr. Donald M. Baltz (LSU) “Habitat Use by Nekton along a Stream-Order Gradient in a Louisiana Estuary” in Estuaries and Coasts Journal (2008) 31: 572-583.
